The complexity of a relationship can't be seen through just one picture. The ambiguous expression of the red figures leaves the audience to debate how the person feels in regard to their relationship. The patterning of the spirals is meant to represent consciousness and realization in a situation. The symbols also are meant to take inspiration from Gustav Klimt’s piece “The Kiss” as uses spiral throughout the entire piece.
